Just wanted to say thanks to the Pirates for last night's win over Atlanta. In Nats stadium we were chanting "Go Pirates! Go Pittsburgh!" Much appreciated, you guys! Plus, I'm a fan of the Pirates anyway so it was fun to be able to chant that somewhere new.

The Nats had a nice season. Congratulations.
Lerner spends, Rizzo judges talent well and Davey can still manage. A lot of talent on that roster.
None of which can be said for the Pirates.

Aww, the Pirates aren't that bad. Hey, they beat the Braves! Maybe next season we can reverse the situations and the Nats can help you guys win the division.

That's provided the Pirates don't say to themselves "Hey, it's time to **** up again!" when the calendar turns to August.

baseball is the most enjoyable sport to watch in person, football is better on tv.

Nah... I think that hockey is the most enjoyable in person.
DH and I agree with you that football (at least pro football) is better watched on TV.

The Pirates are officially the worst team in the history of baseball and they are even in the Guiness Book of World Records for their feat of futility. The amazing thing is the record may never be broken if the Pirates keep adding to the number of losing seasons. I am a Pirates fan and I will never give up the ship, but these are bad times for my Buccos.

Most consecutive MLB losing seasons, team
