Oh wait, I just saw something...why not say what the SQUARE FOOTAGE of the shed/MIL Suite is, not linear footage, since you are hinting at adding more living space, right? It is a psychological thing, but if a buyer sees that as potential living area, it would be a good thing.

It is about 45 mins in traffic. We have Lake Ponchatrain between us. The causeway bridge that spans it is the longest bridge in the country that continously crosses water at 27 miles I believe...or it used to be. LOL. Come on down and buy it. I will give you a special "internet only discount" :P

My husbands Home Office is on Magazine St. in N.O., we get down there a few times a year. I think the area is SO beautiful and historic! I took some time to see the old plantations on the Great River Road(?name) in Vacherie. I fell in love with Oak Alley. It took my breathe away to cross the road from the plantation, top a hill and see the mighty Mississippi flowing by! I know the area has it's issues, but from a history buff's point of view, it is a wonder. I don't recall, are you a native?

My father's family is Native to the area but I was born in Alabama. My mom is from Texas so I kinda grew up in between the 3 of them. Essentially southern born and bred I have a love/hate relationship with New Orleans. It is unlike any place in the world. Very European and, yet, not very cosmopolitain. At once, a very bohemian and very backward place. The streets feel haunted. It has so much history and the people that live there seem not to care and just wanna trample it into nothing. If you are an aware person, living in this area can be verydepressing. It is a great place for artists.

So, it is a nice place to visit, but you wouldn't want to live there My husband's company has been very clear about bringing their people down in order to bring some money back to the city....and we are glad to oblige.....we should never lose a jewel like N.O. (even with it's checkered existence!)
Good luck with your potential move....if Pittsburgh ends up being your destination, I will be happy to give any info I can to help.
