Last time my sister was up visiting I took her to Kelly's for cocktails, and after about an hour she told me that she'd seen her quota of black plastic glasses and mary janes for the year.

That area isnt that safe. I suggest always walking/driving with a friend day or night.
A couple people i know have been mugged there. Non-violent but they also did stupid crap like take out thier wallets to make change for some guy they dont even know.
Walking or driving you can still get jacked.

Quiet Storm is great. I like the food and don't mind the crowd. I'd walk anywhere around there in daylight, but would feel better walking with someone else after dark.
