DeSantis said in the debate last night that city workers shouldn't be required to live in the city.
Ok I will read it. So people are in favor of DeSantis stance and against Luke or vice versa?

Default Yunz can take a city job n that and live out there.. ??

Here you go, taken from the Post Gazette.

"Mr. Malloy also confirmed that Mr. Ravenstahl has fought their effort to get legislation through the General Assembly that would allow them to bargain for the right to move outside of the city, while Mr. DeSantis supports them.

"Police officers and any city worker can live anywhere they want," said Mr. DeSantis, explaining his position on residency requirements. He said the city should be able to hire the best available job candidates, no matter where they lived"

Hmmm, I have mixed thoughts on this issue. What Is clear in my mind is that DeSantis has a game plan to pull Pittsburgh more into line to bolster the local economy, improve the small buisness climate and work on the financial mess the city is in on a longer term basis. Thus far mayor Luke in my mind continues to fall short in these areas. D is for Desantis thus far for me.

I can't believe it is controversial that people should be allowed to live where they want. If the city of Pittsburgh is an undesirable place to live, maybe the city leaders should focus on that?

Kpoeppel I think your right. And when compared to all the other 'pressing' issues the city faces I think the so called conflict of city residency is being driven by supporters of one candidate in light of failing in so many other issues.
