Best what? How do you define 'best'?

Price?
Location?
Field of study?
Placement of graduates?

I'd say Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) is the best community college.

The other surrounding community colleges are smaller and have less programs.

However, Youngstown is within 50 miles of Pittsburgh. There might be a good community college there too.

BUT they do have different programs... for example, CCBC had casino dealer training and air traffic control.

Whoa, you would drive 50 miles to a community college? Not me. And going to the community college in your county is the whole point -- it's more expensive to go somewhere out-of-county! I went to the Allegheny CCAC campus on the northside for a semester -- chemistry and calculus -- biked there and back home two miles four days a week. It's a decent place, easy to park a bike! Surrounded by parks. Buildings weren't horribly depressing. Students were nice. Wasn't for me though. Can't say much more than that, haven't been to other CCAC campuses.

Good point, tarnas. The OP should attend the community college in the county where he is living. If a community college has a specific program he wants to take, he should plan on living in that county.

Community college costs more if you attend one in a different county from where you live.
