Thanks!!!! Awesome Books will be thrilled. If you click through on the link I provided you can donate online in case you can't get to the store. the campaign ends on 2/11 and I believe it's an all or nothing deal. If they don't have the amount they need by Monday, they don't get the funds. At least that's how Kickstarter works, I'm not sure if IndieGogo is the same.

I have a friend who paints pictures of people's homes. Once my house is renovated I'm treating myself to one of her paintings. The colorful house in the snow is across the street from me. Mine is the dark brick one. I hope to add a little color when I paint the trim and fascia this spring.

No, it doesn't work like that here, and I always hated those type of campaigns. I guess there is a place for them, but in this case, I agree with the format as it is set up. They actually will get whatever is donated by the end, for sure, even if it is not above their goal. Works for me for these guys. I donated the other day.

The page says "This campaign will receive all of the funds contributed by Mon 11 Feb 11:59PM PT."

Donating cash in person presumably would save them a little credit card and whatever other fee though. I'm sure IndieGogo takes a cut.

Good luck to Awesome Books on this venture! Laura Jean and Bob are kind, sweet, and generous people (among other lovely superlatives). Really wish that I wasn't broke right now and could support them...

Glad to know they get the money no matter what. Thanks for checking into it.

Since they chose the "flexible" campaign, Indiegogo get 9% if they don't meet the goal, only 4% if they meet the goal. The "fixed" campaign would forfeit all funds if the goal isn't met. There is also an additional 3% for processing third party payments. So, if they don't meet the goal, they'll be paying Indiegogo 12%. On top of that, they will have to pay taxes, but that probably depends on if their business is making a profit yet.

Fees & Pricing : Indiegogo Support

Thanks for sharing this, Julie! I donated. I hope they meet their goal.
