Awesome Books' Liberty Ave. location needs heat. They're in the middle of a campaign to raise the money to install a heating system. Awesome Books Pittsburgh | Indiegogo

Book Stores are my favorite places on earth. Seems like a decent cause but they should be looking high and low for some sort of Grant.

Are they a certified 501(c)(3)? If not, it would be impossible for them to get a grant from a foundation.

Thanks groar! The store started as a Pop-Up business with seed money form the city. They are now on their own financially and the store needs heat. I'll be blogging about it. I'll post a link soon.

They're using IndieGoGo, similar to Kickstarter. Here's the link: Awesome Books Pittsburgh | Indiegogo

Awesome Books' campaign to raise funds for an HVAC system ends Feb 11. They've received a lot more contributions since I last checked, but they still need quite a bit more to reach their goal. Support a local Pittsburgh business with a small contribution.

Julie I like your house in the snow. It should be on a post card. I'll stop by the store on Mon to contribute.
