The players don't quit, just don't have the talent.

Yep. About perfect day for an opener. It was blacked out here. Didn't they sell out? Not sure how that works these days, Too bad all the gloom and doom weather people crushed such a beautiful day before the day even got here. Probably talked everyone out of going or making plans. Typical of the media and the folks that seem to follow them. Even though they lost this must have been pretty funny.

I watched the game on TV.
Glad DH and I stayed home... we would have drove into town in a blizzard (snowed here in Westmoreland County).

It has been beautiful here for the whole game. Perfect opening day weather. You know how people are though. Hyped up the weather and everyone is scared and stayed home. It is what it is.

IDK.. We weren't scared. Seriously... scared of snow and/or cold?
But we chose to stay home anyway. Kept our record of never going to an opener intact! I know others want those tickets more than we do...

I take it you never played short season spring ball in college. I did in New England. When you're in the OF, 41F is cold, sun or no. If you're pitching or catching, not too bad as you're active.

"Perfect" opening day weather is 58F-60F, no breeze. 41F is not enjoyable for me as a fan.

And before you chime in on being wimps, when I lived outside Boston, if it was over 40F on Saturday and the course was open, we were playing golf, even if we had to drive halfway out the Cape. Point is, we were moving, not sitting.

Beautiful day. If you want super warm, head south. We live in the north... well sort of. Goodness, you wouldn't last a day in Chicago I guess.

Let's both strip to our skivvies and stand in the snow and see who quits first. I've hiked on mountains in sub zero temps and snow. Camped in storms where it was cold and windy enough enough to snap tent poles. So get over yourself.

Sorry, I'm not paying for the privilege to sit outside and do nothing for 3 hours in 41F weather. However I'll walk my dogs in a sweatshirt in same weather. Over 50 and it's shorts.
