Does anyone here use the Mellon Arena parking to work downtown? I understand that they divide it up as East/West/North/South lots with the largest and cheapest lot being basically the backside of the arena (the East lot).

If so can you share your opiniom on using it? Do you park your own car, any issues, etc.

Thanks.

There are a few lots around Mellon Arena that has a flat rate of about six bucks or so a day. They are packed!

There is a parking garage, the one I actually use, too. It's part of the Marriot and Chatham Center. I will find out how much it is per day, but I buy a monthly pass for $162 a month.

Dang. I should probably stop complaining about my $70/month pass at CMU, then.

I just found out that the Mellon garage is offering an Emp discount - guess Ill look into that.

That sounds about right. I pay $162, but I get a fairly good discount because I'm a resident of the complex. Downtown parking isn't cheap.

I also just got word from a Mellon Emp that the Arena Parking DOES NOT fill up everyday. Parking there would be $100 cheaper monthly.
