Guess you're right. Check out what's at the bottom of the webpage you linked:

© 2013 Pittsburgh Mercy Health System, part of Catholic Health East, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy
Catholic Health East is a pretty big nonprofit. Catholic Health East: Regional Health Systems

My confusion came from Mercy being taken over by UPMC and Western Psych being so heavily affiliated with Mercy Behavioral Healthcare.

I just remembered St. Francis. It's a shame it's gone.

My confusion is they are so heavily affiliated with Western Psych transferring patients there. It seemed they were part of the same system since UPMC took over Mercy.
It is confusing. When I first moved here and went to work it was well over a month before I realized that "WPIC" and Western Psych were the same place.

Allegheny Valley Schools works with developmental and intellectually disabilities; I was pretty impressed with the manner in which the residents were treated.

Hopes, it is a shame about St Francis - they did great work with psychiatric and addicted patients. UPMC being almost a monopoly does this region a great disservice.

Check out the Children's Institute. They may employ psych nurses for their specialty services in their hospital or support services in their day school.

You could also ask your grad program for suggestions.
