Civil Engineer jobs???
Does any know about Civil Engineering jobs? My husband is a Civil Engineer, I'd like to know if jobs would be available if anyone knows. Thanks everyone!!!

Engineering of all colors and flavors is a profession in Pittsburgh that is doing well, however, don't just take my word on it. I would think he wouldn't have a problem, but I could be wrong.

I doubt it, too, but there have been a lot of posters on this forum who have related difficulty finding a specific engineering job. Civil engineering = construction, so it depends on the viability of that industry. In any event, have the job lined up before you move.

There are several civil engineering firms in the Harrisburg area that are hiring, if you are interested. The headquarters for PennDot is also there.

Take it from a engineer, they are needed here. They arn't enough of them right now. There are a lot of construction projects going on. Hopefully we don't go into a bad recession though soon.

Be careful, the job market in Pittsburgh is pretty bad overall. Usually engineers have better prospects than most, but you'll want to make sure you have a job here before you move.
