Hi,
Was looking at houses at Brentwood, is there any reason why not to own one there? and how good are the schools?

Brentwood is a white ghetto. For instance, Penn Hills has a higher median income.

Thats a ridiculous statement about Brentwood...WHITE GHETTO...please

It's a very very middle class area --Great walking neighborhood, descent shopping district, strong police presence, good housing stock...

Only two downfalls I see to Brentwood (1) Average School Distrcit (2) 2nd highest tax milage in county..

College graduates barely above 20% of the population, low average income, some guy was beat to death by 5 other guys....

I don't really feel safe there and I wouldn't recommend it.

That income number is 4000$ less than the US number and 1000$ less than the Allegheny county number. I think "I don't really feel safe there" is a valuable piece of information, but "white ghetto" is not.

No offense, but some people on this forum seem to think that Mt. Lebanon is middle class and that half of Allegheny county is ghetto.

Brentwood is a low to middle (middle class neighborhood)...Just because they don't have alot of college grads, or make alot of money...That makes it a white ghetto...

Using your next method of reasoning, nobody should move to Mt. Lebo either then...That boy just tried to kill his girlfriend last week..And over the past 5 years, Mt.Lebo has had 5x more murders then Brentwood...

It's your opinion, that it's unsafe...If you could share some facts instead of slanderous statements that would be helpful to the OP..
