21 years and haven't won a playoff series in 34. Hopefully that changes with game 5.

If they do it, they'll have to earn it as St. Louis will be giving Wainwright the ball on Wednesday

For all the things that happened the difference in the game comes down to tiny little things. Was all pitching yesterday really. The Cards had a couple of extra hits, but they didn't amount to anything. Only the HRs meant anything, and they had a walk that came in the right order. (There was a walk AFTER Alvarez's HR, that didn't work!)

Tabata rarely misses a hit-and-run opportunity. And it's extraordinarily rare that he doesn't at least foul off a pitch when the situation demands he make contact. But even with that, Harrison needs to start his slide in the same zip code as 2nd base.

Wacha was unhittable. And the irony is that if the Bucs hadn't wasted their time and energy trying to get Mark Appel, Wacha could've been a Pirate. He was a consensus top 10 pick who slid to the Cards at 16 (which was a compensation pick getting out from under the Pujols contract!)

The comp pick we got for not signing Appel is looking pretty good though.

Still, totally agree of course. Wacha was filthy last night. Still glad I went--that was amazing.
