I think I've come up with a new advanced stat: weighted Erieguy Logical Argument Avoidance Rate (wELAAR).

Add the number of logical points made by the opponent (A).

Subtract (A) by "Bob Nutting is cheap", (B)

Multiply (B) by the Universal Arbitrary Time Frame (20)

Run B20 through the "People like you support the Pirates, therefore you enable losing" algorithm.

Divide the results of the algorithm by the over/under on the Pirates winning the NL Central next year.

Results: your wELAAR. A 1.000 wELAAR means complete and under avoidance of your opponents logical points, and indicates an innate ability to counter specific questions with nonsensical challenges.

A .500 wELAAR means one has conceded roughly half the logical points made by his opponents and has actually attempted to use scientific methods to back up one of his own arguements.

A .000 wELAAR means one is practically a Vulcan. And as anyone who's watched Deep Space Nine knows, no one enjoys playing baseball with a Vulcan.

Sorry you don't like my prediction but don't let that interfere with betting the house on the Bucs.

Here's the thing. Bucs fans are used to pain and disappointment. You can't insult us. We've heard it all before, many times over.

Steelers fans, OTOH, are really painfully sensitive beneath their Polamalu jerseys :-)

It seems like he`s ranting because the Pirates have yet to win a single game next year.

Yes the ignore list is useful, go Buccos.

Sorry to ruffle so many feathers. I had no idea people were so sensitive about it. After 20 years I'd have thought it was obvious.

so apologies, but dumb Aussie-who-is-trying-hard-to-understand-baseball question. If Reds win next two games and they finish level with Bucs, where is Wild card game played? How is it determined?

Even I appreciated the Bucs pitching last night.

Loved the game last night, hopefully we win again tonight. To all the naysayers, go pound salt. I'm enjoying the ride, love going to parties and talking baseball again. WooHoo!!!

Ya but we know they can`t sustain that for the next 20 years. Okay, I`m done making fun of Debbie Downer.
