I grew up in Cincinnati, which I think is a baseball town. People love the Reds. They're proud that the Reds opener kicks off the entire baseball season. The parades are huge. When I moved here, it was a culture shock that people lived and died by the football team, but didn't really care about the baseball team. Pittsburgh may be jumping on the Pirates bandwagon now, but it's still a football town. There really aren't Pirates fans akin to Cubs or Red Sox fans. The baseball culture just isn't there.

That's crazy. Maybe they priced the early round game too high? I was surprised how low the early round game tix were here. You could get in for 20 bucks. That'll go up to $50 with the NLCS though.
The ticket price thing: Boston and Pittsburgh is easy, because they are the two smallest ballparks! That's why the tickets are the highest. You know, supply and demand.
Once it's playoffs even here there is more than enough demand to go around.

how are the rams doing? the bengals? all towns are like that, winning is more fun than losing and 21 years of losing is great to destroy a fanbase. sure being real fans is important to kids but aside from that, adult sports watching is mainly about having fun.

That's crazy. Maybe they priced the early round game too high? I was surprised how low the early round game tix were here. You could get in for 20 bucks. That'll go up to $50 with the NLCS though.
