If you're getting people knocking up every time you have sex you're doing it seriously wrong bro.

Hard to decide which is more annoying: people who are celebratory about not having children to the point of being mean-spirited, or people who are sanctimonious about having children.

My child free friends and I have no trouble finding plenty of things to do in and around the city. For me horseback riding (Rolling hills ranch in Bridgevill rents horses for those who don't want to commit to owning them), martial arts (aikido) and all of the great museums, parks and attractions are plenty. My friends enjoy kayaking, sailing attending folk music concerts at Calliope, martial arts (aikido) and biking among other things.

I'd question any parent whose life didn't revolve around their kids.

you'd have to question about 50 of my close friends and relatives then. maybe ask them why their kids, whose lives they didn't revolve around, are about to complete their PhDs next year. Or are successful health care professionals. Or who have just got into fine arts college, or are on the cusp of appearing in the Olympics, or who have just published their first novel at 23.

really???

Gortonator, we are so frequently on the same page it is a little scary sometimes.
I could not agree more. I have kids but I try not to make them the center of my life, because I do not think that is mentally healthy for my husband, me, or them. Children live with their parents for a relatively short time and it is important to have your own life to focus on and go back to. Children's also need to know they are not the center of the universe so they can develop their own coping skills, independence, etc.
