I feel like I'm freezing all the time. The furnace is set at 68. I'm wearing winter clothes and socks. I have afghans on the sofa. I already pulled out my down coat and have worn it for the last few days. I just can't get warm. I've always been sensitive to temperature changes in either direction, but I can usually function inside. I haven't been feeling well. I'm trying to figure out if it's me or the weather.

Today was beautiful - I rode home from work at 7.15pm and it was well over 50F with no wind. And our furnace is also set at 68F and I'm sat in a t-shirt and shorts.

Hope you warm up.

Happens every fall. Those first few 50 degree days feel like 30 degrees. Especially if it's windy. In two months though you'll be praying for a 50 degree day, because it'll be so cold outside you'll die in less than an hour if you're not dressed for a walk on the surface of the ****ing moon. By the time March rolls around however, 50 degrees will seem balmy. You'll be walking around in a t-shirt, shorts, and sandals.

Thanks for the well wishes. I agree it was beautiful to look at outside. I'm just cold! I'm most comfortable between 68 and 72. The reason I mentioned that I'm wearing winter clothes is because my husband usually says "put some clothes on" when I complain about being cold. I used to wear shorts and t-shirts and run around in bare feet complaining. I'm just wearing lightweight long-sleeved shirts so far. I haven't pulled the sweaters from storage yet.

Probably Peri! Is freezing was part of the deal? No hot flashes yet. Thank God.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one! I'm very sensitive to temperature changes. I wear summer clothes super early in the Spring too!

I say take your clothes back off and build a blanket fort. You'll be freezing at first, but eventually your bones will start producing heat in overdrive and the blanket fort will feel like a J&L blast furnace. Just be sure to bring a stash of nuts and a chamber pot.

You always make me giggle when you say "blanket fort," Jimbo!

(Someone please spread the love to Jimbo.)

My fiance has an obsession with them and it's starting to grow on me. She had a blanket fort party at her library (she's a teen/pre-teen librarian), and her kids loved it.

It's like making yourself a cozy little house within your own living room/bed room.
