The one at Pittsburgh Mills is only maybe 20 minutes from you. You'd cross the Highland Park Bridge, take Route 28 North, and then exit at Pittsburgh Mills.

We already have most chains/franchises here that I'd like. I ate at a Brio in the Tysons Corner section of McLean, Virginia, once, and I really liked it. As has already been demanded ad nauseum I, too, would be supportive of a Wegman's in the region. I'd also like another Chick-Fil-A next-door to jay5835's home.

Micro Center It would give Best Buy a run for its money.

I'm amazed how many want food chains to move here, who wants to eat at a chain restaurant?

With the closure of Circuit City and Comp USA, Best Buy is pretty much a monopoly, at least in terms of brick and mortar stores. Although, internet retailers are still crushing them; to try and compete, Best Buy will price match online retailers.

We'll be in the market next year or 2015 for new electronics and/or appliances. We plan to try a local guy (Dormont Appliance?) for appliances, but we plan to try h.h. Gregg, Best Buy's nearest major competitor, for electronics.

Now you're talking! Micro Center has always been quite useful when I was in Columbus or Cleveland for work. And one time years ago I drove to Cleveland just for a great sale to get a computer. Way more technical computer and related parts than Worst Buy. (Although I took great advantage of the latter's price match to Amazon policy last weekend.)

I've driven there 3 times to get the stuff I wanted. Great service.

Dormont Appliance is a good company. I have used them over the years, very good personal service.

I stopped in Hhgregg for the first time a few months back and was not impressed. The store itself seemed weird, and the prices I see in their circulars are never particularly eye catching.

Best Buy does have a rewards program, so if you make a major purchase, you can earn a sizeable certificate for future purchases. Also, Best Buy has good financing deals if you open a line of credit; however, I would only recommend 0% financing for x months if you are confident that you will pay off the full amount before the end of the promotional period, otherwise you'll be whalloped with the accrued interest.

They have other deals too, like 5% off purchase made on your store issued card, but you would have to pay the balance in full to avoid interest. Please note, I believe any promotional offers negate the ability to earn reward zone points on than purchase.
