Actually Pittsburgh has a high percentage (relative to the country as a whole) of biracial children who are primarily African American/White. So that seems to indicate there is some interracial dating going on. I actually see a fair number of interracial couples around and am friendly with two interracial couples.

Concur here - interracial couples are extremely common in the East End.

I believe that original post was black women -> other races which is extremely uncommon here. Black men -> other races, not so much.

I'm too lazy at the moment to actually look up the date, but Brookline has to be one of the most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in the city (and far and away the most ethnically diverse neighborhood in the South Hills).

We even have a small (I assume) enclave of Muslims, and it may be growing. Not very many, if any, neighborhoods in Pittsburgh have women in full Burqas walking around. I think the diversity here is due to the quietness of the neighborhood, and the adage that is repeated on here often...."As long as you cut your grass, I dont care what you do in your home"...seems to really describe the attitudes of Brookliners.
