Not sure how true that is. Most of the Dominicans that I came across in the Domincan Republic and in the US look more black than anything. Their hair texture and skin tones vary from light to very dark similar to most black families in the US. I would love to see the sample group chosen for the testing. Domincans do not embrace their african heritage at all and will deny african ancestry even though its obvious. Brazilians and darker cubans really embrace their african ancestry. I was in Salvator Bahia in the early 2000s and was surprised to find out that Salvator is the DC or ATL of Brazil. The culture and food was similar to the Ivory Coast and I was thoroughly impressed. The lifestyle reminded me of the Gullah region of the U.S..
