I never cared for Chryst... and thought he was a particularly awful interview... that weak voice... ugh! I think losing him may be a blessing.

What didn't you care for? Is an "awful interview" and "weak voice" needed to be a good football coach? Will he succeed at Wisconsin?

I'd bet he's wishing he'd have kept Wannstedt...and I'd bet Wannstedt is loving the news.

I would love to see it...or back on the sidelines. Most likely would never leave and they won't do any better.

Wanny was a good guy and a decent coach but didn't maintain good discipline and off field incidents escalated during his tenure. Chryst was an OK coach but really got the program back on track as far as discipline and structure go. I think Pitt administration values running a clean program as much as they do winning (a good thing IMO).

Wanny is underqualified to be the AD. We need someone with the athletic background who has also excelled in the business/corporate/academic world, along the lines of Oliver Luck.

He'll be a failure at Wisc. Barry's making a homer hire because he's shellshocked by unexpected defections. Wisc is desperate for someone to stick around... so they're settling for mediocrity.

I wouldn't bet on any of that. Can't wait to find out, though.

Unfortunately, a clean program and winning don't work together. Whole lotta programs who are 1 secret away from a scandal, stripped titles, suspensions, etc...

There are very few guys that are going to take the job that are going to stay for more than a few years and Wannstedt is one of them.
