How to remove name from car title because of divorce? (Sharpsburg: loans, transfer)

I'm in Allegheny County and am about to file for divorce. We are amicable and it was a mutual decision thankfully but we need to remove one person's name from the title of cars. Neither cars have liens on them. Both names are on one title and one person's name needs to be removed. The other title is in one person's name and needs to be completely transferred to the other person's name. Can we gift the cars to the other person or do we have sell them and pay the 7% use tax on the value? Thanks in advance for your help.

Go to any notary, but preferably one that deals in motor vehicles. There is on in Sharpsburg that can do it for you. Have the titles in hand. Simple.

If Sharpsburg isn't close, then just do a search. I used one in the South Hills that was good as well. Any of them that deal in cars a lot.

Since you don't have loans, this can easily be handled by any notary that serves the public (as opposed to being a notary for an employer simply to witness signatures). Notaries that have a notary office all handle handle motor vehicles. It's the majority of their business.
