Default Any big outdoor events in Feb/Mar
I'm coming to visit next year and I'm from sunny california and was wondering if there are any sort of big outdoor events in that time frame. I love anything from skiing to kayaking.

Depending on the snow we do or don't get, Seven Springs and Hidden Valley will offer skiing for sure. If there are any big mt bike rides around, pm me from time to time and I'll let you know.

Check out this astronomy website: Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh. They have a star party called Winter Fest in February or early March of every year. I'm pretty sure it's open to the public; check out their website.
