I missed when you first posted this thread. Was the public allowed to taste the soup too or just judges?

Piper's and Mario's are winners last year? I would think they could do better than a couple of TV bars.

They're judging the soup not the bar. The soups aren't regular menu items, at least not usually. They make them up for the contest.

Yea, the public are the judges (you vote after you taste them all). You have buy tickets for it though. Its a fund raiser for the local food pantry & chamber of commerce. It was a good time & most all of the soups were excellent.
