Are you sure it's south east of Pittsburgh? I think south east would take me into WV.

I like Pizza Vesuvio on the South Side, good New York style, no cold cheese though. If you're looking for some interesting pizza, try Jioio's in Greensburg. Its on pie crust and the sauce is really different.

And NO it's not that we are the "burb of the burgh"!! It is the Pizza and the bread!!

The same brick ovens still going after 80 years of use wood firing classic squares and loaves to perfection!! I have YET to sample it's equal here in the Burgh. We also have one key ingredient. Cold cheese on top of the finished pizza! MMMM MMMMMMMM!! Soooooo good.

I live in Sq Hill so I know the pizza haunts up this way..good ya, Especially Lucci's! but not good enough to de-throne the ville's pies. So I submit this question. Anyone know a joint that can stand up to the ville's?? please let me know!!!!
Dude, I lived in steubenville my entire life, and moved to columbus after highschool, and now live in a columbus suburb kinda. No one no where sells pizza by the slice period. not gay ass sabarros. Nothing like dicarlo's giannamores, and Iggy's(RIP). I feel you on that.

I stopped at Beto's a few months ago. The place looked run down to me, more than usual.

New pizza style comes to OSU - Campus

For some reason, I wanna say they changed the name of the business, but regardless--Steubenville pizza can be found in Columbus.

Basically its a fresh baked pie. When brought out of the oven they shred fresh Romano or Parm. cheese over the top of the melted cheese. So it basically melts into the cooked cheese. Thats how NY does it anyways. MMM-mm-mmm----> good.

A previous poster said Victor's Pizza in Forest Hills. There is no such thing.

Vincent's Pizza in Forest Hills is/was Pittsburgh's best. Some say the place had gone down hill since Vinny turned it over to his son. It's a challenge to eat three pieces. I think it comes with grease even if you don't order any meat. The place is kind of a dive. It's been there for over 50 years. Unique Pittsburgh pizza.

Beto's just undertook a fairly extensive remodeling. It now has a decent looking brick exterior. Perhaps you happenned to catch it in the middle of the process.
