2 killed in Christian center shooting - Crime & courts - MSNBC.com

Geeze Pittnurse, between Omaha and Denver, your network of family and friends are in my thoughts.

I posted this here because it just made front-page news. I didn't want to post it in our Denver thread because I didn't want the OP to think I was using this as a means of sway. This sort of thing can and does happen everywhere. Very sad, though. Like I said, you are in my thoughts.

Thank you. My sister-in-law lost a friend in the Omaha shootings. I did not hear of the one in Denver till just now. That is terrible.

I am so sorry to hear that! I will keep her in my prayers. While posting in another thread, I had the misfortune to discover that the people who protest the soldiers' funerals because america condones homosexuality will aslo be picketing the Omaha Funerals. It's high time somebody stops these people. It's a disgrace that in times of tragedy, families must contend with their BS!!!

(if any of you feel you have the stomach for it, go here: Westboro Baptist Church Blogs I warn you though, it is REALLY vile stuff, and not for the weak of heart) I don't believe even Hitler spoke with such venom...

Yeah, I think Hitler topped them all. Here is a link from a local paper if anyone is interested:

Gunman 'hated Christians,' linked to both shootings : State and West : Boulder Daily Camera (http://www.dailycamera.com/news/2007/dec/09/twin-shootings-front-range-christian-sites-leave-2/ - broken link)

When this stuff happens close to home, there's always a connection. Very, very sad.

That is just horrible and sick too.
I do not consider myself a christian, but i do not hate them or would wish this on them or anyone for that matter! Why do you think he did it? DO you think he viewed himself as evil and it became a self fulling prophecy maybe?

There must be something to this...it happens alot lately.... why do people hate christians enough to open fire on them? I know that Marilyn Manson had this same kind of thing happen to him, he was booted out of the the church and the kids there made fun of him all the time...i wonder if he just lost it for the same reason?
