Except for being a person sitting on the slinky bus that's trying to turn left for a zillion light cycles because they never get a chance to make their turn. I'm glad they do it, so that they stay relatively close to staying on schedule.

Perhaps synchronizing the traffic lights and giving buses priority could help solve such issues.

continuing ctoocheck's sub-thread....i think bus stops should be moved, where possible, to just BEYOND the intersection, instead of the near side of it. so when buses have loaded, somehow they would be accommodated by the lights and allow them to pull away without delay. this might be something incorporated in a a bigger scheme, like loading several busses at once (like at 6th/smithfield, or at Ross/Fifth) but having them all depart at once...and eliminating some interval stops, maybe (like in Uptown, Oakland...)

the bike lanes are incredible - this would have been unimaginable 10 years or so ago.
