I am helping my friend look for houses. He is moving to the Youngstown OH area for work. I came across the two listings below and I was wondering where I can find similar house styles and neighborhoods here in the Pittsburgh area? Looks like they are well maintained, updated 1930's era houses. At the top if my head, I was thinking some parts of the city, Forest Hills, Churchill, Sewickley. Anywhere else or any I am off base on?

I think those two are a steal at $199K.

Chatham Village? Squirrel Hill, North of Forbes?
Not going to find those prices though.

Yes, I agree. Wish I could make an offer on one of them, hah. Although it is only 65 minutes from Pittsburgh.

They are sort of scattered everywhere. Shaler has some on Mt. Royal Blvd. There's one on Anderson Road across from Wible. There's one on Vilsak too. There are a bunch on Dorseyville Road in O'Hara. There's a beautiful stone one there. Hampton has a bunch scattered around too. Mt. Royal and Middle Road and a few neighborhoods in between. McCandless has a few on Duncan and other places. I'd say almost every township has a few of them. It's just a matter of if they are for sale and how much they are.

Looks similar to the architecture in Churchill, Blackridge, North Hills Estates in Ross Township, part of Mt. Lebanon. Like Hopes said, they're scattered all over the place. Love the links - beautiful homes.

That first link is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing. It honestly made me start to rationalize an hour+ commute every day due to the low taxes!

I found these in Whitehall close to the OP's price range.

They're not the exact architecture but deserve mention.
