We are friends with a hockey family. Dad coaches, son plays. A parent on the SAME team who didn't agree that the coach should bench her kid, who had some of the highest penalty points in league for fighting, tormented coach's family all season. Trash talking about "your dad" and glaring at the kids. Some of the parents yell at the opposing players. Can't expect their kids to do better. But the ones talking about money are horrendous. Some of the wealthier people I know are the most humble about it. They have nice stuff but they'd never rub it in someone's face, especially kids. Yuck.
More evidence that money does not buy you class.

You hardly need to go that far to find some prime examples.

The sidewalks/busses exchange actually sounds kind of cute. The waving of cash (or plastic, or gold bullion, or white powder, or whatever your preferred method of exchange ) is just gross. I wonder if the bullies are still taking their parents' hard-earned money, cashing it into pennies, and throwing them at the Jewish kids?

Divert all funding for Pitt and Penn State to every other public school in the commonwealth.

Either way, I see what you did there.

No, Temple and the Lincoln schools are the ones I would divert funds to.

I'm a serious West Virginia football fan and this is about old rivalries.

Ahh, I thought this was about fooling ourselves into thinking glorified teacher's colleges could be bona fide flagship universities.

My mistake.

Personally, I think everything outside of community college is a scam designed to get people into a bunch of debt through the allure of sex, drugs, and the illusion of enlightenment.

So maybe I'd just cut off all funding to every college that isn't of the community variety.
