In regard to racial and ethnic diversity, Pittsburgh is beginning to make up for time lost in the last two decades of the 20th Century.

That's good - I've noticed a lot of Muslims and more specifically Turks in Pittsburgh.

There has long been a large Lebanese population in Pittsburgh.
Middle Eastern Community | GlobalPittsburgh
**The Lebanese community was among the first to arrive in Pittsburgh. They have served this area and this country in many ways, including serving with the armed forces in both World War I and II.**

There has been a significant presence of middle-eastern people in all of western Pennsylvania for most of the 20th century. Towns like New Castle, Sharon, Brownsville, Butler. There are several great mid-eastern restaurants in New Castle.

Remember this when people say the weather is never nice in Pittsburgh. Overexaggeraters.

Agree. We were at the jersey shore over Easter. It was downright chilly there while very warm and sunny in the Burg. Over exaggeration and "glass half full" perspective to say it's never nice here.
