I certainly had an email requesting motivational runners - thru maybe REI or BikePgh? If I was here, I'd have signed up.

Anyone know of any bars opening Sunday morning downtown for those of us dropping someone off and waiting for them to finish?

I did some searching and I believe it is through the True Runner store in Shadyside. The links were via Facebook so I couldn't pull them up at work, but that might be where one can find more information.

I can't believe that anyone would have an issue with this wonderful event.

Pennsylvania law doesn't allow bars to be open before 11 a.m. on Sunday, with the exception of private clubs.

Jack’s on 12th and Carson isn’t downtown but isn’t that far of a walk and it opens at 9 am on Sundays. It would be a nice place to watch the marathon from since the course goes right by....

Hmmm. She's only running the half so she'll be done by the time they open. I guess I'll have to tailgate with a backpack and solo cups.

I'm doing the half again this year (first ever was last year). It's really not bad at all - that being said when I got to the part where the full splits off from the half I thought 'f that'.......some day I might do a full but for now I'm too lazy to do the required training
