New in Donora?
Ok what have I gotten myself into I moved to Donora without researching first. Yes I know Dumb but we found an awesome house at a killer price in a nice quiet area. BUT>>> Now I'm told watch out for the cops there racist and complete jerks. And if you don't get in good with them they will run you out of town. I am also wondering if ther is any bus line that runs from donora to pittsburg where I will be working. (not looking forward to such a commute). ANy info would be helpful...

Have you had any encounters with the police that would lead you to believe they are racist? Do you feel they are trying to personally run you out of town? If "no" to both questions, relax and see what the experience is like for yourself. As I am learning more and more every day, people will say anything.

This thread is ancient...
You guys know what happened in Donora right? Google it...
Like any of the old Mon river towns, my question would be, if you're not from there why would you ever want to move there?

Hate to say it but I do agree with the question. Some towns are just like that, best if you have local connections.

Low housing costs, in comparison to others in the metro Pittsburgh area. You can buy decent houses for under $20,000 in some of those towns.
