Default The ever declining South Hills

Just look as this cave-man behavior
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/07346/840916-55.stm

It seems that serious crimes in the South Hills are becoming a real problem. I don't feel safe there anymore. I don't want to offend anyone but, I'd recommend avoiding the area at all costs.

That happened around a month ago, now dig up something else to prove that the South Hills is declining, show us other examples, please.

The South Hills from Mt Lebanon south is the most safe area around. It's not like this kid was roaming the neighborhood and just dragged someone out of their home.

I think this is an rare occurance and its not the norm in this area, this is one of the best locations to live in Pgh! No area is entirly crime free but some sure are alot better than others! IN some areas, its the norm to hear bout these type of crimes, you know it happens alot, and people become immune to it..I am sure this shocked the respectful community of Mt. Lebo!

This kind of stuff happens in small towns everywhere. You can't run and hide everytime there's something on the news. It's mostly domestic disturbance stuff. There's stuff on the news all the time about some little hamlet where they find a meth lab, a jealous husband takes a shotgun to his wife's boyfriend, there's a home invasion of some elderly couple, a divorced couple gets violent over custody of kids, convenience store is held up at gun point....the list is endless. It happens in the nicest areas. Relax.

Wow, I thought the article was going to be about something other than an isolated incident by a mentally disturbed teenager.

If you really want to see the South Hills in decline, drive down 51 toward Century III and check out all the empty lots and vacant buildings. Now that's decline.

That's just about the most rediculous thing I've ever heard. Your going to shun an entire area because there was one crazy kid that attacked his girlfriend? I'm not offended at all, just confused...
