I just had to come on here and say it! It's been GORGEOUS outside for two days in a row now! Can we make it three? I was just Downtown making a corporate delivery, and there had to have been THOUSANDS of people out and about not only near the Three Rivers Arts Festival but all over the core of the city---pushing strollers, jogging, sight-seeing, etc. I'm off Tuesday, and if this weather holds up I may rent a kayak at North Park!

What has everyone been up to this weekend?! Anyone go to the air show in Latrobe? Anyone at the Arts Festival yet? Anyone going to Pride? Anyone out running or cycling?

Stupid pollen. I enjoyed being outside in December more than I do now.

Not me. My nipples hurt too much when I go running in December. Maybe I need a sports bra?

Yesterday couldn't have been any more lovely. Went to the Arts Fest last night to see Jeff Tweedy, picnic with friends, and hang out by the fountain (I've lived here eight years and last night was the first time I've seen the fountain... damn thing was under construction for so long).

I love how this town can seem so dreary and desolate during so much of the winter, and then be so vibrant and beautiful in late spring. Downtown during Arts Fest weekend, with the Bucs in town to boot, is always Pittsburgh at it's finest.

Go to REI and ask for a cold weather running shirt. They're made of some kind of artificial fiber that will keep you warm (if in motion) until it gets below 20 degrees F and yet they won't absorb any sweat.

This storm will pass soon hopefully, and create beautiful conditions for an evening run around Schenley park.

We went camping at Ricketts Glan State park - glorious weather, beautiful waterfall hike yesterday. Bit of a drive but highly recommended for a weekend.

I have to say overall this Spring has been great...especially for growing season. And although my relatives and Friends to the a South laughed at me earlier in the year, now they are complaining about " walked one block and the heat is killing me". They kicked their air conditioners on two months ago. I love Western PA Summers!
