That may well be true, but this kind of event can be a royal hassle for those who have business or other activities- particularly with the amount of security this kind of entourage demands.


I think it would probably be better for everyone if presidents get in the habit of writing letters, picking up the phone or using modern teleconferencing technology to communicate whenever possible.

Without knowing all of the details of the Techshop visitation, and this visit could very well be an exception, the question is whether or not this entire event could not have been orchestrated with a teleconference instead.

If I remember correctly GeneW works in Bakery Square (might have been someone else). Hopefully he can telecommute that day!

I know someone who works at Bakery Square and she said she's excited about it and hopes to get to see him.
