Someone, like Forest City, would have to pay for that. The North Side is only free because the Steelers, casino and ALCO pay for it.

And the Gateway Clipper folks will have nothing to do with such an idea....since they charge $10 for a round trip ride (when you can take the T for $5).

I am not sure why though, it can't be a free zone all the time, except during Steelers and Pirates games....

Lots of people park at Station Square. The lots are full of cars on weekdays. There are also shuttles that take people across the bridge into downtown.

Same with parking on the North Side, but they take the T for free from there.

It's faster to walk anyhow.

As much as I like the IDEA of the T, for just going around the general downtown area it isn't very convenient.
