Hi Guys..I am planning to move to Pittsburgh in couple of months time.My wife is working with UPitt for last 1 year.I have an experience of 6 years(5 years in Tata-AIA Life Insurance & 1 year in banking).I will be coming on J2 visa.I have no idea whatsoever about the job market.Looking forward to your opinions & assistance.

Keep in mind that, as a J-2 dependent, your employment can't be used to support the J-1 holder, that is, you should expect to earn less than your spouse. I don't know if any of the insurance companies around here hire part-time.

Mellon commonly hired foreign analysts for short stints when I worked there. One year can become multiple years via becoming employer sponsored later. They have to leave the country temporarily until their new status is approved.
