Can someone give me the best rush hour route for travelling from Bethel Park to the Waterworks mall area? The easiest route would be to go from 88 to 51, through the liberty tunnels, then across to 28. How long might this take if I have to arrive near Waterworks at 9am? Are there any better routes? I can get to rt 19 fairly easily if that would be a lot quicker than going 88 to 51. I want to give myself an hour and a half, but I don't know if that's way too much. Thanks!

Yesterday I went from USC to Oakmont via 279 to 28. Took 60 minutes, 15 of which were at the choke point at the Etna entrance ramp off 279. I left at 7am. So that's the outside time. I'm not sure about taking 376 to the Churchill exit and cutting across 130 in rush hour, but I'd expect that to be 40-45 minutes in regular traffic, so I'd add another 10 to get through the tubes just to be safe.

That's going to be a hellish route no matter how you go about it, but I always cut through West Mifflin, Homestead, Beachwood Blvd, Highland Park Bridge when going to/from Bethel Park from Fox Chapel.

Curry Hollow Road, Lebanon Road, Mifflin Road, through Homestead to and across the Homestead Greys Bridge, Browns Hill Road, Beachwood Blvd, 5th Ave, Washington Blvd, Allegheny River Blvd, Highland Park Bridge, Freeport or Route 28N to Waterworks.

One of my best friends lives in Bethel Park. I lived there myself briefly too. The Route 51 route always annoyed me for getting back to Fox Chapel.
