For safety purposes, I'll do it for a day game on the weekend in Feb. In fact, I think you and I should go together. It'll be like a city/suburb date for two pens fans. You can shoot down 279 from Cranberry, I'll ride Junction Hollow and the jail trail from Shadyside. I'll even buy you a beer.

I'm dead serious, btw.

Sounds good but isn't biking safe at any time? Better yet, a game when there's around 8 inches of snow on the ground and its around minus 5.

I prefer not to ride in the dark. As far as the 8" of snow and -5 degrees go, it isn't all that common to have both at the same time. I am willing to take a chance and schedule it far enough in advance that I won't know what the weather will be like, and commit to coming no matter the conditions.

With the new architect for the project, I may even get a more direct, more biker friendly route around the arena itself in the coming years.

I have no issue with bike lanes, trails, etc... I also have no issue with those that only bike or walk everywhere and don't have a vehicle...but being confined to an area without a vehicle isn't for me.
