Default possibly getting divorce

I am curious in how much will the paper work be.

I am on fixed income where I may not be able to afford it. Has anyone gone through with fixed income.

i will be speaking with my mother tomorrow about all of this as well. But help is great.

I'm sorry -- divorce sucks.

But honestly I think it depends on what state you live in, and what kind of assets you have to divide and if it's acrimonious -- he can hold it up and wind it out with lawyers and they'll get it all...

I know in some places, if it's a easy split, you can file through paralegals and it's far less money.

Good luck...

Where I live good lawyers are expensive. But the legal aid society here seems to offer excellent help for low income clients. Check what they have to offer in your area. Also, if you don't have a lot of assets or kids, it is a far simpler process - as long as both parties want it to go smoothly.

Good luck! I'm going through a divorce right now. I should have done it years ago.
