Smile Family living in Pittsburgh

Hello everyone!

I am writing to collect the most information about Family living in Pittsburgh.

My family consists of myself, wife and 1 year old son. We are looking for a place that has a nice atmosphere for "family-friendly" living, better public schools, access to the public transportion into downtown, etc. I am looking for a place that is affordable

I have already been given Mount Lebanon/Shadyside/Squirrel Hill and Dormont.

If you have any more suggestions and reasons why, that would be great!

Thank you,
THOMAS

What sort of price range in housing are you looking for thomasburkejr? If school district is really important to you, there are about 10 in the greater Pittsburgh area that really shine, maybe you'd like a list and then determine the house that way?

We are a famiy of three too and we found a beautiful home in mt lebo...they have very good schools, and its very safe. There are shops along washington street, right next to the schools, you can walk to everything! Which I plan on doing! Nearby is the T that will get you into in the city within 20 mins! DM me if you would like more info!

I'm very new to PA and it's me, my husband and our 2 yr. old daughter. We're only here for 3 years but we bought our house in Plum. We love it here. It's about 11 miles from downtown but it's a great family atmosphere. If you want to know anything more about it please feel free to ask. I've only lived here since Sept. but we love it.

We are a family of 4 and we live in Murrysville. We love the school district (Franklin Regional) and all of the family-oriented activities not only the Municipality of Murrysville offers, but Pittsburgh and surrounding areas too. You will not be sorry you moved your family here. We are so thankful we left Florida to come here!

I know I sound like a broken record but Murrysville is my favorite Pittsburgh suburb. Franklin Regional rocks my socks.
