It turns out the 1.6M for Riverview is for a community center. Color me disappointed.

I can't find a direct link to the article, but if you look at page 20-21 of the December 2014 NorthSide Chronicle on their archives page you can read the "Message from a neighbor" by Darlene Harris. Apparently the 1.6M was reallocated to an Uptown transit study and then back to the community center. Neither option sounds good to me.

Funny how the budget was passed today with a 1.6 million dollar hole in it. Darlene was the only no vote. I do not see the ICA approving this budget without it being balanced.

It only they had that $3.1 million August Wilson Center money back....
