And....? That wouldn't be the first time a Pittsburgh neighborhood was called 'not diverse'. People choose where they want to live. Diversity is so overrated. Its about qualities of the person, not the race.

I am fairly certain that black dudes who get the cops called on them just for walking down the street in homogenous white areas would not call diversity overrated.

Luckily i know of no one that has actually called the cops on black dudes just walking down the street here or any black dudes whom have gotten the cops called on them for just walking down the street here regardless of the neighborhood's racial makeup.

And yet, it happens all th time. I'm not saying in Lawrenceville, I'm just saying that proclaiming diversity "overrated" is way easier when you're white.

That may be. I wouldn't know, since I am probably not the general definition of "white".

And please - like there is an epidemic of fear of blacks.

Why is it the fault of hipster neighborhoods like Lawrenceville that black people don't want to move there?

That's what I noticed about the international ones. The Hong Kong one in particular, is basically just foreign expats who are moving into a predominately chinese area for slightly cheaper rents. There is really NOTHING hipster about it at all.

Not even a hipster.

I heard exactly that about Buenos Aires, which, maybe 10 years ago, was THE place for Brits and Americans to find adventure, art, and romance (ie running away from reality....sounds great, actually!).

From that list, I've spent a few days to a week in:

Williamsburg bk,
la lapa in rio,
echo park in la,
Palermo in bs as,
the mission in sf.

Most were 10+ years ago.

I've been in a few of the other areas - northern liberties, pearl district etc.
