Our park and playground are nicer/less strewn with litter and used condoms.

Our kids are in elementary school and are into sports. So, we basically stay local for most of their activities but if we head out we go to Shadyside. Hockey though takes us on a regular basis to other neighborhoods and counties.

On the rare occasion that we shop we do it at the Waterworks, Shadyside, REI Ross Park or Little's for shoes and any Dick's plus any one of the local hockey stores.

When I lived in Pittsburgh, it was Oakland at first (college), then Shadyside/East Liberty/Bloomfield/Lawrenceville for my years living there after college, mixed with a lot of trips to Brookline since I was dating someone there and some of my good friends lived there.
