Just learned about this. Never watched the show before, but will tonight.

Having eaten there a couple of times, I'm wondering if one of the suggestions will be "less salt".

Interesting show. Explains why they had to change the name. Somewhat surprised the new locations were in so much trouble. Especially when a gyro costs $1.62 and sells for $7.50.

I also just watched the show this evening and recorded it so I can watch it a second time. Considering the Mt. Lebanon location was one I had pinpointed to partner with for my impending business venture I couldn't wait to see it. I, too, was shocked about the bleak financial picture of the franchise locations at the time, but I'm happy it looks like brighter days are ahead for "The Simple Greek".

Can you go into this a little bit? I am a huge fan of the Cranberry location. It is walking distance from where I work.

Prior to "The Profit", NONE of the franchisees (Market Square, Mt. Lebanon, Wexford, or Cranberry) were profitable, and the franchisees were angry that they would only briefly see the franchisors (who owned the McMurray location) once per month when they came to pick up a royalty check from them. The Market Square location was/is the busiest, and the Mt. Lebanon was/is the poorest-performing.

I can safely say that after seeing this episode I really, really, REALLY want to try out "The Simple Greek" (the new name) SOON! The new concept is similar to a Greek-styled Chipotle---fast-casual, if you will.

In somewhat related news, a more formal Greek restaurant may open in Market Square at former PNC branch, so we have simple greek on one side and not so simple on the other side of Market Square.http://ri.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0LE...zdbaFEa2XjhPk-
