james777, I was obviously making a point that the Monroeville Mall business was all over the place, was never "buried".

OK, UK news aside, here's one from some racist blog:
Black Teen Girls Riot in Pittsburgh Mall, Force Closure - Breitbart

wow, AOL is still a thing?
Police investigate fights inside Monroeville Mall - AOL.com

here's NBC
Brawl at the Mall: Teens Injured in 'Multiple Fights' - NBC News

Philadelphia
Teen fights force Pennsylvania mall to close early

Another scare whitey news source
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014...le-place-down/

kp...some fox station out of oregon
http://www.kptv.com/story/27717655/f...nsylvania-mall

the big socialist obama lovin network that the conservatives believe is a propagandist news source
http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/us/...ka%2Findex.xml

So, how has this story been ignored again?

But, something I noticed, a lot of right wing militia nutjob type news outlets sure covered the story. Could it just be that Pgh is a small town and this story just really isn't that worthy of vast coverage?

yeah you're right James, setting cars on fire and turning them over because your favorite team lost can't compare to the mall fights. My bad.
$45K in damages after a WVU white riot, nah, this is just boys being boys!

I remember when the mall first opened. Up to then, I had never seen anything like it. In the rural outer areas, we would take care of Christmas shopping by going to Monroeville Mall. That whole strip was a shopping Mecca. I have fond memories of going to Kaufmann's and Sears along that strip.

I believe the story mentioned additional buses being sent to help clear people out. So that might suggest what the root of the problem is.

I would expect to see a few more black people at a mall surrounded by Pittsburgh blackest suburbs. (no racism intended)

I would have never known. I assume the whitest (no racism intended) suburbs would consist of Mt. Lebanon and Cranberry Twp.?

You are correct. The whitest section of the metro is extreme north and south of the city.

North yes south not so much. The southern suburbs are older and better connected to the urban fabric though.
