That's insulting to the person who is putting their life on the line, and most likely for zero tip too!
Why would it "most likely" be for "zero tip"?

Right now several gangs are waring across the city and its only the beginning. I'm willing to bet big bank that this violence only gets much worse in each of these places besides South Oakland.
Increase in Pittsburgh gang/group violence and shooting.

What's the cause for the shootings, from your figuring?

From the number of OD's it looks like the heroin trade is booming, you'd think that there would be plenty of business if that is what the gangs are involved in. Blood is a big expense, no?

Well, this is just great news (sarcasm).

It's been nice knowing yinz, since I may not see 2016 - tempting fate as I do (late nights walking home from second job). But I have not noticed gunfire now at all, compared to a couple years ago up here. I thought everyone just packed up their gang colors and went to shop at sean john, giving up the craziness. Well, whaddya know - a "war"!

Need some Toya Graham up here!

Dope od's & new dope is not the cause in the Hill, Northside, Southside Hilltop & Homewood no. But Wilkinsburg maybe bc that place is a hub for dope trafficking and the violence is happening so close... I say this bc most in these feuds are between kids younger than 19. A fair share of drug dealing teenaaged gang members from stable homes sell primarily coke, weed, molly, dips, extaczy/other pills, etc recreational drugs & only get paid to traffic or mule hard dope. Once they graduate or become of age & get kicked out of their parent's houses, generally they become more sellers of crack, heroin and heroin mixes. Though its not always the case, it just seems to be too young of a crowd to be over the heroin trade.

In the Northside after almost two years of relative peace, the Crips are back to feuding with the OGz. It started in the winter when 20's aged members of 200-700/1400 Northview Heights Crips were beefing with 1200 G'z Lower Manchester. Then it then spread to fights in local highschools. Now BOTH teens & 20's aged members of Manchester & Uptop Wilson Ave area gangs and Manchester gangsters who have relocated to Marshall-Shadeland due to gentrification are shooting with UpTown YownTown (Northview Heights) Crips, Fineview Hound (Allegheny Dwellings) Crips, 1728 Brighton Place/Mad Cave Crips and probably 2500 North Charles Street Crips & Briccs (Allegheny Commons East) N**gaz.

In the Hill District the gangs no longer feud primarily with other hoods, like Homewood's Crips or Larimer Hoods or etc beefs of the past. The Hill District Bloods who were historically close allies are now 14-19 year olds who beef allegedly stemming from fights over girls & these gangs robbing each other for drugs (because they knew each other that well). I mean these gangs grew up going to each other's basement parties, hanging in each other's project hallways & even shared the same Kennard Park/ rode the same busses...
Yet the gentrification has spread out the young members from the older members (who to my knowledge are not even feuding with each other), so there's no leadership besides the top 20 or 19 year olds with guns.
Long story short closing of the projects & revitalization efforts fractured the traditional gangs. Now teenaged gangsters who grew up in Addison Terrace's Elmore Sq (plus to a lesser extent Bentley Drive & De Raud St) beef with former peers from Allequippa Terrace (plus to a lesser extent Chauncey Drive Projects & Bedford Avenue).

On the Southside also, both 20year olds & teens are feuding. Its the most frequent occurring and ongoing killing Allegheny County: the Smash Gang-44 Gang-Darccide Crips from St. Clair Village vs. South Zhoove Crips from Beltzhoover & Kingsboro St. The St. Clair Village gang relocated to scattered spots of Knoxville south of Bausman St & scattered across the rough part of Mt. Oliver Borough. Mt. Oliver Boro around Locust St & Sherman St is where the most currently violent set, but the gang has also spots in Knoxville around Mathews St, Mt. Oliver around Onyx St, Knoxville south of Alice St-east of Georgia Ave & Mt. Oliver around Brownsville Rd & Hays Streets.
Another gang on the South is Knoxville Hot Boyz aka Hard Knox Crips, and there also in the beef. Arlington Heights Crips were in the beef 2014, though they have been quieter this year so far.

In Homewood there's always beef, across age groups between at least one set of UpTown & DownTown, and between Homewood & two other hoods (most often Lincoln-Lemington &/or certain parts of Wilkinsburg). Yet similar to other gangs/hoods in Pittsburgh, UpTown Homewood (excl Hilltop-Dallas-Wheeler) has splintered to some extant. Frankstown Ave to Chaucer St Crips no longer run with 1000 Brushton Avenue Crips & Everton Street Crips who run with Trapple Street/24 Down Low Iraq sets of Down Low Lincoln Avenue Crips.
Now even teenage members from 247-1300-302 Uptop Lincoln sets go against tradition & run with former enemy, 500 Ru's set from UpTown Homewood. Yet this hasn't bee too violent for Homewood's standards.
