What I'm meaning to say, I guess, is that it's more diverse than Brentwood. In Baldwin whites are the majority, but they also are in a good portion of the areas in suburban Pittsburgh. You have to admit that. But this is coming from someone that went to Brentwood, where there is little diversity. What I'm saying in the end, I guess, is that there is more ethnic diversity, but maybe not racial diversity. Brentwood is basically either Irish, German, or Italian, whereas Baldwin has more Eastern Europeans and other minorities. Can you at least agree with me on that?

I'm buying a commercial building in Brentwood and I ended up on this forum to find out few things. Above I read some of the dumbest things about white neighborhoods. Some black person wrote it's not safe to live in a 99% white area. This is a joke of a century. My friend, 99% white place certifies maximum safety.

Some other person above advises the black person not to move there, because it would not be safe and comfortable. You got that right. They will do whatever they can to keep their 99% steady. Just show me one black area where it safe and a white person wants to live there.

On top of this, if the situation was reversed and a white person would be advising another white person not to move to a black it would be called discrimination and some nasty left wing red organization would be running around and prosecuting.

I think they are talking in terms of history and reputation in regards to minorities, not other Whites. Of course it's going to mean max security for other Whites, but that's not what's in question. Considering some of the incidents that have occurred in regards to Blacks there and the lack of diversity, that the OP was looking for, it might not be the place for the OP. While this doesn't mean that the whole community is racist or not welcoming to minorities, there is some legitimate apprehension and things to think about for the OP.

By the way, I'm from Syracuse where Seals and Gammage are from. So, I know about that incident well.

I also understand the concern as a person that went to schools that ranged from being 91-95% White, but it doesn't mean that there will be problems on a regular basis either.

There will be no racism. The person will be comfortable. The person will be safe.
Problem will be solved.

Actually, the OP was looking for a DIVERSE community. Meaning, variety in the ethnic/racial makeup of the community. Being 99% Black isn't diverse either nor is 99% of anything for that matter, in the terms that I think the OP is coming from.

Also, to ask the question is just finding out what the community is like on those terms. It isn't anything personal towards the people of the community or the community in general, but it's about just trying to find out information from someone that might have had experiences in that community.

I protest.

First. DIVERSE community is socialistic magic word for: community turning bad.
Second. Here in NJ we pay 25K in taxes in order not to live in DIVERSE communities.
Third. Let's be fair and not discriminate. I propose to match number of people wanted to live in white community verses number of people wanted to live in black communities. Once we get that equal number we will move them. Let's see what happens at that point.
