Today we learned "Uber has 'cleaned out' the Robotics Institute".
Uber Opening Robotics Research Facility In Pittsburgh To Build Self-Driving Cars | TechCrunch
Uber is headquarted in San Francisco, CA.

We also know Google has a significant presence in Pittsburgh after laying the groundwork at CMU.
CMU's software unit will join Bakery Square | Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Google is headquartered in Mountain View, CA.

Soon we'll learn that Silicon Valley owns Pittsburgh's entire computer science and robotics industry. The jobs will continue to be located here but the profits will be sent back to California.

Is everyone okay with that?
You joined City Data just to post this...??
