People aren't perfect, mistakes are made all the time.

Not everyone keeps their weapons in a safe, they want to keep them close by in case of trouble, in a nightstand is a popular place.

Sure, there is definitely a possibility of a firearms accident. But there is also a chance of a home invasion, someone trying to stick you up, or other circumstance where a firearm is useful. Each person can make their own decision on this.
I support nra but I don't like your explanations sounds too much like the people in ferguson after they burn a church down
It's your gun after u get it u r responsible for it

Shocking, right? Not. The NRA is a joke.

Geez another kid shot dead by a teen in Armstrong County. Seems like it never stops and it is spreading to areas that once were much more tame. Guess the media, xbox and Internet are really creating a society that can get some really bad ideas. Two lives lost in this one. Strange stuff. I am not sure I like gun control that much, but maybe our country just can't handle guns. It is too easy to kill.

Robbery was likely motive in fatal Leechburg shooting | TribLIVE

In all fairness, I'd have to hear their side of it. I probably wouldn't agree, but it might not be totally absurd - but just slightly ridiculous instead.

There seems to be an uptick in underprivileged children offing other underprivileged children:
Justice Hull, 2 mos., drowned by a 14 year old in TX
2 month old baby beaten to death by an 11 year old in the Cleveland, OH area
kid in FL, playing with a lighter in car, set another kid on fire (not dead yet but might not survive)

There have been others. It seems like more incidents in the news lately. Maybe the Welfare system is actually self-limiting, after all.

That is something to remember and keep in perspective. We get news from sea to shining sea. Police chase in LA? We'll hear about it. Guy choked to death in NYC? Family murdered in Texas...you get the idea. You have to consider the billions of daily potential opportunities where there is no violence.

Statistically, I think we are living in some of the safest times in the past 50 years, but everyone thinks we all are living in the middle of Bagdad after Hussein was murdered.

Its fear mongering, everyone is scared. i used to drive my bike from shadyside boys club to lawrenceville one with my cousins when i was ~10.

Now if i let my 10 year old walk alone further than 2 houses away im negligent in the eyes of the neighborhood.
